Eugene Martin, age 64 years, 9 months, and 3 days, passed away Wednesday April, 11 2018 at the UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Casada officiating. Burial was in the Ball Family Cemetery.
He was born July 8, 1953 to Leslie Martin and Delca (Ball) Martin. Eugene worked as a heavy equipment operator for Somerset Hardwoods. He enjoyed horses and going to the livestock sales.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Andrew Martin and his wife, Candida, of Somerset, Leslie Gene Martin, of Whitley City, five daughters, Amanda Kay Dandridge, of Florida, Ginger Johnson of Somerset, Melissa Mathews of Lexington, Chasity Johnson of Lexington, and Ashley Delk of Somerset and her son, Tyler, who was especially close to his grandfather, his ex-wife and special friend, Velda McClendon Martin, a brother, Ken Martin and his wife, Judy, of Sunbright, a sister, Maedean Sumner and her husband, Gerald, of Marshes Siding, thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Eugene Martin.
