Eugene  Morrow
Eugene Morrow age 72 years, 11 months, and 4 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 5, 2014. Burial followed in the Morrow Family Cemetery.
He was born January 30, 1941 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Johnnie Morrow and Dova (Coffey) Morrow. Eugene was a Deacon of the Lower Wolf Creek Baptist Church. He retired from the coal mines after working 21 years. Eugene became a volunteer firefighter for the South McCreary Fire Department in 1992. During his time with the fire department, he served as fire commissioner. Eugene enjoyed firefighting and serving with his fellow firemen. He was also a member of the search and rescue squad for McCreary County, a charter member for the fair board, and coached Little League Baseball. Eugene had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, and bee keeping.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Judie (Crabtree) Morrow whom he married, December 19, 1964; a son, Eugene Michael Morrow and wife, April, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; daughters, Karen Morris of Somerset, Kentucky, and Sharon Morrow of Stearns, Kentucky; a brother Scottie Morrow and wife, Kimberly, of Stearns, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Katisha Morris, Kyndal Morris, Chelsie, and Chasity.
