Condolence: Residing in Lexington, Miss Morgan was my sixth grade teacher at the old Picadome Elementary School, which is gone, and she is one teacher I have never forgotten. I was fortunate to visit her a couple of times within the last year at her nursing home in Pine Knot. It was great to visit her and realize that her mind was there during our conversations. Greatest of all was that she remembered me. Amazing since it was the '64-'65 school year. I will definitely miss her as will all of her family and friends. My condolences to all of her family and friends.

Condolence: What an incredible life Ms. Morgan lived! I am grateful for her contribution to McCreary County and to her influence on my Dad, Dick Taylor.

She taught him in 5th grade and he never forgot her. He always spoke of her with such respect. Many times, over the years, we would see her at the home of Virginia (Jimbo) Taylor and Dad would always take us over to re-introduce us to her. When he would ask her.."Miss Fannie, do you remember who I am?" She would say, "Yes, I do. You're Dick Taylor and you were a very good student".

It always made him laugh and pleased him. That endeared all of us to her.

She set a beautiful example of how to live a full & rewarding life.
Rest in Peace Miss Fannie.
