Gay Nell King age 60 of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Gregory officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery.
She was born February 9, 1956 in Hyden, Kentucky to Taylor Asher and Chloe (Begley) Asher. Gay was a member of the Whitley City United Methodist Church. She loved to travel.
Preceding her in death are her parents; a sister, Linda York; and a granddaughter, Cheyenne King.
Survivors include her husband, Jack King of Whitley City, Kentucky; sons, Jack King, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, and James King of Pine Knot, Kentucky; daughters, Angie Roof of Whitley City, Kentucky; brothers, Taylor Asher, Jr. and David Asher both of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters, Doris Robertson and Jackie Haynes, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Christopher Matthews, Krystyanna Roof, Jessica King, Haley Roof, Stevie King, Desiree King, Nikki Roof, and Justus King; and great-grandchildren, Bryson Matthews, Brooklyn Fraizer, Izabella King, and Jayden Matthews.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mrs. Gay Nell King.
