Condolence: I am sorry to hear of my Aunt Ione's passing, she was always sweet and welcoming, I loved her accent and I recall her horn rim glasses so popular in the 1960s. She and Uncle John of course were so sweet to my family when we visited some dozen years ago. Two great Americans!

Sorry I was unable to be at your mother's service and that my condolence is so late coming, I hope Mary Lou gave you my love and sympathy. As Thanksgiving rolls around, I think of Aunt Ione, as I always do through the holidays. I am preparing to make her delicious cranberry salad, which I make Thanksgiving and Christmas each year, along with Mom's (Leone) pumpkin pie. Your parents were wonderful people and I was blessed to have known and loved them. I love you both and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.

Condolence: I was saddened to learn of Ione's death. For years I have had a table or two of ladies at the Neighborhood that I have spent time with. Ione became one of my Neighborhood "girl friends" after your father died. We would do special things for holidays and birthdays. She especially liked birthday celebrations because we always had KFC with all the trimmings and Little Debbie Cakes. She also loved Bingo. I will miss her. My thoughts are with your family at this time.
