Iva Sue Jones, age 76 years, 10 months, and 7 days of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Mountain View United Baptist Church with Bro. Stanley Tucker and Bro. Earl Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Ervin Jones Cemetery.
She was born December 11, 1940 in the Head of Wolf Creek community in McCreary County, Kentucky to Sylvester Shook and Goldie Gregory Shook. Iva Sue was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, reading, and cooking. Iva Sue found the most pleasure from spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Ervin Jones, and sisters, Shelby Jean King and Hazel Troxell.
Survivors include her son, William “Bud” Jones and his wife, Beverly, of Stearns, Kentucky, brothers, Edd Shook , Bill Shook and his wife, Jean, Bruce Shook and his wife, Joan, Jim Shook, Wayne Shook and his wife, Roxanne, and Dale Shook, sister, Ellen Coffey and her husband, Phillip, brothers-in-law, Denzil King and Jesse Troxell, grandson, Matthew Jones, great grandchildren, David and Jonathon , several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
