James Lonnie  Dixon
James Lonnie Dixon, age 79 of Strunk Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2018.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home . Burial followed in the Flat Rock Cemetery.
He was born March 22, 1938 in Somerset, Kentucky to Harrison and Rosie (Flynn) Dixon. James was a member of Co-op Baptist Church. He enjoyed collecting various things, talking about old times, calling family and friends daily to tell them he loved them and spending time with a very special friend, Lorraine Phillips. James worked hard as a young man working many years in a factory and in the coal mines.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, Betty and brothers, Cecil, Hobert and Hurstle Dixon.
Survivors include a daughter, Devonda and her husband, Robbie Vaughn of Strunk, Ky. two sons, Tim Dixon of Whitley City, Ky and Eddie Dixon of Strunk, Ky and one special grandson, Tyler Vaughn of Strunk, Ky, Brothers Roy and his wife, Sharon, of Beaver Dam, Ky, Junior Dixon of Beaver Dam, Ky, Don and his wife, Barb, of Stearns, Ky and sisters, Betty (Burden) Dixon of Beaver Dam, Ky and Clara Winchester of Oxford, Indiana.
James will be greatly missed by all those who loved and knew him.
