James E. Scotty  Little Dr.
Dr. James Edwin "Scotty" Little, M.D. age 77 years, 11 months, and 1 day of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Whitley City Baptist Church with Bro. John Ditty officiating.
He was born March 22, 1936 in Westfield, Pennsylvania to Edwin Emmons Little and Ruth Ime (Smith) Little. Scotty was a member of the Whitley City First Baptist Church and a member of the Gideon's. Scotty also participated in the Christian Magician Association and was an antique car enthusiast, belonging to the Big South Fork Classic Cruisers. He attended the Practical Bible Training School, Davis College, John Brown College, Silom Springs College, and the Kansas City Osteopathic School of Medicine. Scotty was a member of the medical staff at South Fork Medical Center for over 12 years and had previously worked at Winchester, Patton, and Burgess.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and his wife, Nona (Spangenburg) Little.
Survivors include his daughters, Relynn Little and Renee Johnson, both of Texas; one brother, Phillip Little of Waco, Texas; and one sister, Janet Palmer, of Birmingham, Alabama.
