Joyce Fay Privett, age 78years and 1 month, of Strunk, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Meadows Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Neal and Bro. Tommy Tapley officiating. Burial was in the Jess Privett Cemetery.
She was born December 20, 1939 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to Hobert Spradlin and Vertie Gregory Spradlin. Joyce was a member of the Marsh Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, and ginseng hunting. Her life centered around caring for her family and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two sons, Paul Scott Privett and Daniel Privett, a brother, Leonard Gregory, and a sister, Bonnie Stephens.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Privett, whom she married July 30, 1966, sons, Troy Privett and his wife, Melissa, Jerry Privett and his wife, Gail, Lindell Privett, Roger Privett and his wife, Nena, and Daron Privett and his wife, Crystal, a daughter, Angela Dixon, brothers, Leamon Spradlin and his wife, Jurita, Bob Spradlin and his wife, Kathy, Harold Spradlin and his wife, Sandra, and Jack Spradlin and his wife, Pat, sisters, Deanna King and her husband, Ray, Kathy Stephens, and Juanita Stephens, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
