June Chaney, age 64 years, 8 months, and 12 days, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Hickman - Strunk Funeral Home with Father. Mike Neal officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.
She was born January 3, 1954 to Earl and Beulah ( Cooper ) Braden in Jellico, Tennessee. She attended Upper Marsh Creek Church as a child but later attended Pine Knot Christian Church. She had been employed as a receptionist for Winchester, Patton, and Burgess Medical Practice and South Fork Medical Clinic. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cross stitching, and collecting snowmen. But most importantly enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dean Chaney, brother, Gary Braden, granddaughter, Randi Elaine Chitwood, and sister-in-law, Linda King.
Those left to cherish her memory include, sons, Greg Chaney and wife, Lisa of Pine Knot, and Doug Chaney of Richmond, brother, Larry Braden and wife , Sharon, brothers-in-law, Mike Chaney and wife, Jan, and Phil Chaney and wife, Judy, special sister-in-law, Judy Braden, aunt, Lois Phelps grandchildren, Zach Chaney, Rachel Strunk, Rosie Chaney , and Lilly Chaney, great grandchildren, Hadley Strunk, Declan Strunk, Everly Strunk, and Riley King, and a host of many friends, nieces and nephews whom was very special to her.
