Kathy Sue King Parrish age 64 years, 1 month, and 20 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Celebration of life services were held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 8:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Hatfield officiating.
She was born June 14, 1950 in Oneida, Tennessee to Mevelo King and Flora (Daugherty) King. Kathy was a member of a Pine Knot Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, writing, and journaling. Kathy also loved to sing and dance and spend time with her family. She was an interior decorator who was very creative and talented.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Todd Jones of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a daughter, April Joy Warren and husband, Brian, also of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; brothers, Quentin King and wife, Lynda, of Oneida, Tennessee, Kelly King and wife, Sharon, of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Wesley King and wife, Paulette, of Tennessee; a sister, Karen Hatfield and husband, Robert, of Stearns, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Brooks Warren and Ethan Warren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Ms. Kathy King Parrish.
