Kelvin Lee Daugherty age 58 years, 7 months, and 28 days of Burnside, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 7:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Brake and Bro. Daniel Trammell officiating. A private burial was held on Friday at the Daugherty Family Cemetery.
He was born June 19, 1957 in Strunk, Kentucky. Kelvin enjoyed reading westerns, tinkering with mechanic work, and carpentry work.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Hobert Daugherty, Martha Daugherty Taylor, and Norman Taylor; a sister, Jenny Emmaline Daugherty; and a sister-in-law, Donna Daugherty.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristy Marie Daugherty of Oneida, Tennessee; grandchildren, John Keeton, Abigail Keeton, and Liam Overton; brothers, James Edgar Daugherty of Strunk, Kentucky, Larry Wayne Daugherty and wife, Annie, of Bronston, Kentucky, and Danny Hobert Daugherty and wife, Chrystal, of Somerset, Kentucky; sisters, Mary Elloria Murphy of Strunk, Kentucky, Barbara Slavey and husband, Wayne, also of Strunk, Kentucky, Betsy Lorraine Brake and husband, Gerald, of Burnside, Kentucky, and Rinda Marie "Sissy" Daugherty, also of Burnside, Kentucky.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Kelvin Daugherty.
