Obituary for Larry C Lewis
Larry C. Lewis age 67 years, 11 months, and 21 days, of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 in Corbin, Kentucky at the Continued Care Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial followed in the Nancy Grave Cemetery.
He was born January 11, 1948 in Blue Heron, Kentucky to Virgil "Pete" and Minnie Ethel (Jones) Lewis. Larry was a member of the Pleasant Ridge United Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, and had coached a softball team. He had been a sewing machine mechanic at the Shirt Factory and LeSportsac and was elected as a McCreary County Constable serving 8 years.
Preceding him in death are his parents; an infant sister, Fayrene Lewis; brothers and sisters, Lloyd Lewis, Eston Lewis, Lela Kidd, and Mildred Davis; and a granddaughter, Mckenzie LeeAnn.
Survivors include his sons Larry Dale Lewis of Whitley City, Kentucky and Tommy Wade "Bo" Lewis and wife, Deanna of Stearns, Kentucky; a daughter, Angie Kay Neal and husband, Shannon of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brothers, Edward Lewis of Marshes Siding, Kentucky and Virgil "Pap" Lewis and wife, Brenda, of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Othela Duncan of Oneida, Tennessee, Evalee Duncan of Stearns, Kentucky, Ella Mae Smith of Muncie, Indiana, Joyce Smith of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Nelda Martin and Carolyn Helbert both of Stearns, Kentucky; grandchildren, Ashley Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Kaydance Duncan, Elisha Duncan, Katie Neal, Taylor Neal, and Emmie Neal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
