Obituary for Larry David Whalen
Larry David Whalen age 71 years, 9 months, and 10 days of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
Graveside services were held Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
He was born February 3, 1943 in Revelo, Kentucky to Donald and Reba (Holt) Whalen. Larry retired from Ford Motor Company as a Supervisor and a Machinist. He was a member of the Orie S. Ware Masonic Lodge #874. He loved watching movies, listening to music, and enjoyed nature and dogs.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, Donna Elaine (Hall) Whalen.
Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Whalen of Stearns, Kentucky, whom was his caregiver for the last 7 years, and Tim Whalen of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Wendy Whalen of Apache Junction, Arizona; brother, Charles Whalen of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Joan McCurry and Gail Tierney both of Cincinnati, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Mandi and Joey.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Larry Whalen.
