Obituary for Leander Everett Brooks
Leander Everett Brooks age 78 years, 1 month, and 6 days of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away at his home Friday, September 25, 2015.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy L. Corder officiating. Burial followed in the Higginbotham Cemetery.
He was born August 19, 1937 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Elige and Lucretia (Privett) Brooks. Leander enjoyed the outdoors and keeping his lawn nice.
Preceding him in death is his parents; wife, Phyllis (Schoryer) Brooks; 3 brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his sons, Wendell Brooks and Danny Brooks and wife Sylvia, all of Sidney, Ohio a daughter, Cheryl Sue Brooks, of Russell Springs, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Leander Brooks.
