Lillian " Eia" Moore, age 88 years, 11 months, and 25 days, went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 7,2018 at Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Taylor and Bro. Clay Cook officiating. Burial was in the Hayes Creek Cemetery.
Eia was born September 13, 1929 to the late Joe and Ida ( Baird ) Lay in McCreary County, Kentucky. Lillian was of the Baptist faith, and spent 18 years as a educator in Amelia, Ohio. She enjoyed reading, crocheting afghans, and spending time with her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Moore, son, Donald Moore, brother, Boyce Lay, sister, Imogene Taylor, sister-in-law, Gladys Lay, brother-in-law, Esbon Taylor, and step-mother, Mandy Myers Lay.
Those left to cherish her memory include, brothers, J.D. Lay and his wife, Kathy, of Somerset, Orville Lay and his wife, Dorothy, and Jackie Lay and wife, Sue, both of Pine Knot, daughter-in-law, Charlene Moore of Bethel, Ohio, and her caregivers for that last few years, Jeannie and Rick Smith of Williamsburg, Ohio, two grandchildren, Donald Moore and Tina Woods, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and host of great friends as well.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Lillian Moore.
