Mamie Ruth  Daugherty (Wilson)
Mamie Ruth Wilson Daugherty, 84 of McHenry, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her home. She was born September 18, 1933 in Worley, Kentucky to the late Walter and Ida Beatrice King Wilson. Mamie was a member of McHenry Baptist Church where she was involved with the Quilters for Christ. She was a homemaker, loved to embroider and was an excellent cook; she made chicken and dumplings worth fighting over. Mrs. Daugherty loved everyone and was loved by all who knew her.
Aside from her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Daugherty; one son, Lester Daugherty; one brother, Alfred Wilson and two sisters, Cora Waters and Lora Maxwell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, five children, Chet Daugherty and his wife, Linda, of Utica, Linda Daugherty Hall of Bowling Green, Mary Daugherty of Bowling Green, Brenda Jones and her husband, Larry, of Nortonville and Bea Harris and her husband, Jeff, of Morganfield; daughter-in-law, Tanya Daugherty of Sturgis and three sisters, Alice Erbaugh of Corbin, Joan Smith of Duck River, Tennessee and Connie Kidd and her husband, Ronnie, of Stearns. Mamie was blessed with ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. E.S.T. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Howard officiating. Burial followed follow in Angel cemetery.
