Mattiline Elsie Hill age 73 years, 9 months, and 6 days of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Barren Fork Cemetery.
She was born November 28, 1939 in Whitley City, Kentucky to George Thompson and Mattie (New) Thompson. Mattiline was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Clarence Hill, sons, Tommy Hill and Lonnie Hill, a sister, Wilma Jean, half brothers, Joe Thompson, Marshall Thompson, and Henry Thompson, and half sisters, Goldie, Jean, Nannie, Agnes, and Alice.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Hill and wife, Patricia, Robert Hill, Lawrence Hill, David Hill, and Johnny Hill; daughters, Jeannie Taylor and husband, Wayne, and Teresa Withers and husband, Chad; a sister, Lola Stephens; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Ms. Mattiline Elsie Hill.
