Minnie L. Jones Coffey age 94 years, 3 months, and 24 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Lower Wolf Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Carl "Cubby" Clark and Bro. Larry Coffey officiating. Burial followed in the Corder Cemetery.
She was born August 16, 1921 in Wolf Creek, Kentucky to Joe Jones and Ruthie (New) Jones. Minnie was the oldest member of Lower Wolf Creek Baptist Church. She loved God and spending time at church with her family and friends. Minnie also enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, ginsenging, and attending family gatherings.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Henry Coffey; a son, Thurston Coffey; a daughter, Sally Ruth Oglesby; brothers, Cordis, Robert, Lewie, and Clell Jones; and sisters, Susie Roberts and Thelma Jones.
Survivors include her sons, Lowell Coffey and wife, Donna, and Joe Coffey, all of Stearns, Kentucky; daughters, Alice Coffey and husband, Curtis, of Anderson, Indiana, Doris Ross and husband, Gary, of Batavia, Ohio, and Jean Waters and husband, Steve, of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Brock Jones and Starling Jones, both of Stearns, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 more on the way; a daughter-in-law, Sue Coffey of Anderson, Indiana; a son-in-law, Jim Oglesby of Greenville, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
