Obituary for Myrtle Worley (Barnett)
Myrtle Worley age 93 years, 7 months, and 28 days of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Hurstle Daugherty and Bro. Harry Watters officiating. Burial followed in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
She was born April 19, 1921 in Barren Fork, Kentucky to Anderson Barnett and Mittie (Duncan) Barnett. Myrtle was a member of the Marshes Siding Church of God since the 1950's. She loved to collect dolls and figurines. Myrtle also enjoyed working outside and in her flower garden, as well as cooking.
Preceding her in death is her parents; husband, Howard Worley; son, Bobby Joe Worley; a brother, Charlie Barnett; and sisters, Pat Anderson and Stella Trussler.
Survivors include her son, James "Jim" Worley and wife, Darlene, of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Linda Worley, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; grandchildren, Tracey Worley Strunk and Jeff Worley; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Strunk, Zachary Worley, and Nicholas Duncan.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Ms. Myrtle Worley.
