Noble Blevins age 93 years, 4 months, and 20 days of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the McCreary Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Hap Strunk and Bro. Hank Blevins officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery.
He was born October 4, 1922 in Scott County, Tennessee to Armp Blevins and Hattie (Koger) Blevins. Noble was a member of the Silerville United Baptist Church. In 1966 he became an ordained deacon at the East Appletree United Baptist Church. Noble was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during WWII. He retired as a coal miner from the Stearns Coal and Lumber Company where he devoted over 30 years of his life. Noble enjoyed attending church, watching UK Basketball games, and hunting during his younger years.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Cleora (Watson) Blevins; a son, Phillip Blevins; brothers, Odie and Noah Blevins; and sisters, Alta Slaven, Minnie Burke, Monnie Hatfield, and Myrtie Davis.
Survivors include his son, Gary Blevins and wife, Brenda of Pine Knot, Kentucky; his daughter, Brenda Perry and husband, Rick, of Stearns, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Noble Blevins.
