Patricia Spradlin, age 81 years, 6 months, and 16 days passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Ball and Bro. Daniel Trammell. Burial was in the Lower Cal Hill Cemetery.
She was born February 2, 1937 in Stearns, Kentucky to Arnold Kelly Simpson and Etta Ball Simpson. Patricia was a member of the New Liberty United Baptist Church and had worked as a seamstress for McCreary Manufacturing before her retirement. She was a skilled crafter and was well-known for her corn shuck dolls. Patricia was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel in the early 1980s. She enjoyed fishing and camping but most especially spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Dorman Spradlin, a son, Jeff Spradlin, a brother, Jackie Ray Simpson, and two sisters, Sandra and Shirley.
Survivors include a son, David Spradlin and Leisa, of Pine Knot, two daughters, Elizabeth Neal and her husband, Ralph, and Karen New and her husband, Chris, all of Stearns, two brothers, Don Simpson and his wife, Lynn, and Wayne Simpson and his wife, Georgia, all of Pine Knot, ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Patricia Spradlin.
