Paul Cecil age 60 years, 6 months, and 4 days of Louisville, Kentucky formerly of Whitley City, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 in Louisville, Kentucky. Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Pine Knot Cemetery with Bro. William Kilby officiating.
He was born December 18, 1953 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Virgil Cecil and Desdie (Wright) Cecil. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army and was also a Christian. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Joseph Cecil, John Cecil, and Freddie Cecil; and one sister, Eloise Cecil Rutledge.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Freida Cecil of Pine Knot, Kentucky; his son, Chris Cecil and his wife, Jennifer, of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Kelli Hamlin and her husband, Brian, of Pine Knot, Kentucky; a brother, Virgil David Cecil and his wife, Virginia of Winfield, Tennessee; sisters, Gloria R. Cecil of Louisville, Kentucky, Mary Haisley of Carrolton, Georgia, and Kathy King of Lexington, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Caiden, Jacob, Hannah, Addison, and Adaleigh, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
