Paul P.  Walker
Paul P. Walker, age 81 years, 7 months, and 29 days, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Walker officiating. Burial was in the Walkers Chapel Cemetery.
He was born June 16, 1935 in Parkers Lake, Kentucky to Oscar Ray Walker and Sally Cook Walker. Paul was a retired veteran of the US Navy. After leaving the military, he was employed by the US Forest Service as a surveyor and a firefighter. He was a member of the American Legion Kinne Slaven Post and of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and working puzzles in his spare time.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his former wife, Lois Walker, brothers, Oscar "Shad" Walker and Ray Lowell Walker, and sisters, Marcella Perry, Geraldine "Jerri" Hunt, and Rayma Del Walker.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Walker and his wife, Loni, of Richardson, Texas, a daughter, Allyson Bassett and her husband, Todd, of Lexington, Kentucky, a brother, Cecil Walker and his wife, Elaine, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, a special nephew, Roger Owens, who was raised like a brother, and two grandchildren, Zain Walker and Aiden Walker.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walker Chapel Cemetery Fund.
