Pearl Miller, age 93 years 1 month and 28 days, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Crestview Center in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial was in the Barren Fork Cemetery.
Pearl was born in Parkers Lake, Kentucky on September 12, 1924 to Elmer Taylor and Zola (Lewis) Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Pearl and Emitt were married on February 20, 1946, soon after he returned from serving in WWII, and began building their life together. An excellent homemaker, Pearl took great pride in caring for Emitt and their son, Gary. She loved to cook and take care of her family and faithfully attended church as long as her health permitted.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers, Barney, Burton, Norman, Howard and Alva Taylor.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Emitt Miller, their son, Gary Miller, and his wife, Janie, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and two grandsons, Andrew and Brett Miller.
Pearl will be remembered for her dedication to her faith and her family. Let us take comfort in the promise of Jesus that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
