Obituary Information
Phillip L. Winchester age 69 years, 11 months, and 26 days of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sexton officiating. Burial followed in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
He was born November 27, 1943 in Stearns, Kentucky to Herman Winchester and Idella (Reynolds) Strunk. Phillip was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a step-father, Russell George Strunk, and a step-sister, Sue Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Rita (Griffis) Winchester; a son, Phillip R. "Rusty" Winchester; a daughter, Felicia Jones and husband, Steven, all of Stearns, Kentucky; Brothers, Herman Lee Winchester and wife, Patricia, of Stearns, Kentucky, and Larry Strunk of Strunk, Kentucky; a sister, Audrey Joan of Michigan; a step-sister, Faye Snyder of Johnson City, Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Allison and Andrew Winchester and Noah and Luke Jones.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Phillip Winchester.
