Robert Curtis "Bob"  Adams
Robert "Bob" Curtis Adams age 75 years, 4 months, and 5 days, of Science Hill, Kentucky, formerly of Stearns, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Dr. French Harmon and Dr. John Ditty officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Wesley Dover, James Ball, Robert E. Stephens, Jr., John Weihr, Terry Lawson, and Buddy Wilson.
He was born June 26, 1941 in Eminence, Kentucky to Marshall T. Adams and Ophelia Zita (Waits) Adams. Bob retired from the United States Postal Service as a carrier and mail sorter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Somerset. Bob loved music and helping at church when he was able. In past time, he served as choir director in several churches in the Louisville area. Bob also served as minister of music for the First Baptist Church of Whitley City. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, and watching sports.
Preceding him in death is his father; his first wife, Carolyn (King) Adams; and a sister, Linda Cox.
Survivors include his wife, Lana (Bowlin) Adams whom he married, July 19, 2008; his mother, Ophelia Adams of Shelbyville, Kentucky; sons, Michael Todd Adams and Timothy Jay Adams, both of Danville, Kentucky; daughters, Jenny Lynn Davis and husband, Charles, of Seymour, Tennessee, and Janelle Stephens and husband, Lawrence, of Science Hill, Kentucky; a sister, Sandra Doolin and husband, Denny of Frankfort, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations please be made to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Bob's memory.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Robert "Bob" Adams.
