Obituary for Ryce Slaven Jr.
Ryce Slaven, Jr. age 81 years, 6 months, and 14 days of Wilmore, Kentucky Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 1:00pm in the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. officiating. Burial followed in the Stearns Cemetery.
He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on February 17, 1935 the son of Ryce and Carrie (Ross) Slaven. Ryce retired as a Production Supervisor at IBM and was of the Baptist. He enjoyed UK basketball, camping, golfing, and watching the stock market.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, L.B. Slaven; and sister, Louise Foster.
Survivors include his daughter, Hollie Slaven Anderson of Lexington, Kentucky; brother, Bob Slaven and wife, Betty of Lousiville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Tasia (Bradley) Lunsford, Zabriel Anderson, Haley Reed, and Joseph Scott; and great grandchildren, Daisy and Brentley.
