Sandy Ray "Bubba"  Gerken
Sandy "Bubba" Ray Gerken age 53 years, 9 months, and 20 days of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at1:00 at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Whitehead officiating. Burial followed in the McCreary Memorial Gardens.
He was born October 21, 1959 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Eldor Gerken and Lois (Hathaway) Gerken. Bubba was a very talented musician. He had a love for music and enjoying playing Bluegrass.
Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Leonard Gerken, and a sister, Janice Porter.
Survivors include his children, Eric Gerken of Whitley City, Kentucky and Elvie Perry of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, Robbie Stickles of Ohio, Allen Gerken of Florida, Jim Gerken of Michigan, Darrell Gerken of Ohio, and Mark Gerken, also of Ohio; sisters, Amy Cole of Kentucky, Bernadean Radar of Ohio, Corine Cymbola of Ohio, Ellen Carter of Kentucky, Karen Henzler of Ohio, Sandra Gerken of Kentucky, Julie Disher of Kentucky, and Pat McCan of Ohio; grandchildren, Daniel Lee Perry, Jr. and Matthew Lee Perry; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Sandy "Bubba" Gerken.
