Shirley Ann Sexton age 65 years, 2 months, and 6 days of the Day Ridge Community, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. John Duvall, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Strunk Cemetery.
She was born December 2, 1950 in Pulaski County, Kentucky to Albert Tucker and Dorothy (New) Tucker. Shirley was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Alvin Tucker; and an infant sister, Cherry Lynn Tucker.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Sexton; sons, Greg Sexton, Scott Sexton, both of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Andrew "Drew" Sexton and wife, Angelica, of Pine Knot, Kentucky; a daughter, Rebecca Clark and husband, Ronnie, also of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brothers, Carl Dean Tucker and wife, Shirley Mae, Lester Tucker and wife, Linda, Gary Tucker and wife, Sharon, Kenneth Tucker and wife, Diane, and Mickey Tucker, all of Whitley City, Kentucky; a sister, Cleda Howard of Jefferson, Georgia; and 9 grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mrs. Shirley Sexton.
