Wilba Walker age 86 years, 2 months, and 26 days of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Harmon Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Flat Rock Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were, Shaine Corder, Rick Corder, JerRick Corder, Jesse Troxell, Johnny Troxell, and Roger Owens.
She was born June 15, 1930 in Scott County, Tennessee to Harold Jeffers and Verna (Wilson) Jeffers. Wilba was a member of the Whitley City Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, and cats. Wilba will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and great mother and homemaker.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Charles L. Walker; and a son, Merial Carter.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Carter (and Jane) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Sandy Morrow (and Mark) of Whitley City, Monique Watson and husband, Donnie, of Ravenna, Kentucky, Tessa McClendon (and Steve) of Whitley City, Kentucky, Vanessa Smith and husband, Tony, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, and Siotha Taylor and husband, JR, of Stearns, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Carter, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mrs. Wilba Walker.
