Rick Eugene  Griffis
Rick Griffis, age 60 years, 9 months and 14 days, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his home in Stearns, Kentucky.
He was born March 12, 1957 in Oneida, Tennessee to Raymond "Buddy" Griffis and Helen Jones Griffis. Rick was a professional installer for Lowes. He was a member of Pleasant Rock United Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Rick enjoyed camping, four wheeling and fishing. He greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and attending Church.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Meadows officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
Preceding him in death were his mother, and a very special father-in-law, Morton Duvall.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Griffis, whom he married March 26, 1977, his father, two sons, Ricky Griffis, of Madison, Mississippi and Jacob Griffis, of Stearns, Kentucky, one daughter, Monica Phillips, and her husband, Adam, of Whitley City, Kentucky, four brothers, Tim Griffis, and his wife, Pamela, of Stearns, Kentucky, Raymond Griffis III, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, David Griffis, and his wife, Sherry, of Whitley City, Kentucky, Curtis Griffis, and his wife, Regina, of Somerset, Kentucky, and Dale Griffis, and his wife, Crystal, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, two sisters, Lesly Terry, and her husband, Bill, of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Connie Ross, and her husband, Randall, of Stearns, Kentucky, a special uncle, Bill Griffis, two grandchildren, Samuel and Gabriel Phillips, sister-in-law, Molly Ledbetter, and her husband, Cecil, brother-in-law, Jeff Duvall, and his wife, Gail, and his mother-in-law, Sue Duvall, who was like a second mother to him.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Mr. Rick Griffis.
