The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rick Griffis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Brenda Jones Davis

Psalm: 56:13 You have delivered me from death that I may walk before God in the light of life. Rick, was my oldest nephew, my sister, Helen's first child. He was also the first grandchild of Cordis and Bonnie Jones, my parents. From the day he was born, he was always that smiling, laid back person that was a friend to all. Helen, being a single mom nearly all of Rick's life depended on him for support in many ways. He was the man of the home. He rose up to that need and then in high school, he met the love of his life, Margaret Duvall. Their love was an example to others, from the day they married, they were a couple, a Christian couple, loved by all that knew them. They were committed to one another, their children and grandchildren. Rick will be missed by me and so many others, but I know that today he is walking in the Light of God. I will always remember him most when he was a baby and spend a lot of his toddler years living with us at Hill Top. Those were wonderful years. Today, he is with his mother and grandparents again, smiling with those beautiful brown eyes of his, waiting for his beloved Margaret. Margaret, Jason, Monica, and Jacob, lean on the love Rick instilled in each of you, thinking often of all the beautiful memories you made as a family, and look forward to the day you join him walking in the Light with him. Love, Aunt Brenda and family
